Week #1:  January 22 and 24.....Class 1 and 2

Wednesday 1/22

In class: Welcome. Review of Course Description and Classroom Procedures. Pass out Health textbooks. Ask students what they thing they will be learning in this course. Record responses and group under three categories of the health triangle: physical, mental/emotional, social. Pass out Health Triangle handout.

Homework: Parent signed course outline, health binder with tabs, and bring your textbook--due next class. BRING your health binder and textbook to every class!

Friday 1/24

In Class:  Begin class discussion on Chapter 1 lesson 1, 2, and 3 with a worksheets for enrichment.

Homework:  Page 24-25 1-15 and study for the Chapter 1 Test

Week #2:  January 29-31.....Classes 3 and 4

In Class:  Take Chapter 1 Test.  Start Chapter 2 definitions on page 28 and 34(11 definitions).  Class discussion on Chapter 2 with an emphasis on decision making and refusal skills.

Week #8: 

Coronavirus has caused us to miss some lessons.  I will be posting the notes from Chapter 11 on the blog in the next few days, so please look for that.  After I post the notes and you review than you can take the Chapter 11 Test. We will than look at Chapter 12 on Tobacco.  I will ask that you look up some information and I will post notes on Chapter 12.  Hopefully we will be returning to school shortly after that.
