In class: Welcome. Review of Course Description and Classroom Procedures. Pass out Health textbooks. Review from last year:
- Discuss 3 sides and how they are correlated.
- What is the decision-making process and why is it important?
- What are refusal skills?
- What is abstinence?
*Pass out handouts for students health binder.
Chapter 5 lesson 1 and 2 definitions
Homework: Parents signed course outline AND a health binder with tabs -- due next class. Bring your textbook and binder with you to EVERY class. Any definitions not finished in class.

Due: Parent signed course outline, health binder with tabs, and textbook.
In class: Set up health binders with dividers. Sections are: handouts, notes, definitions, assessments, and loose-leaf paper. Begin class discussion on Chapter 5 lesson 1 and 2. Have students take notes on character and how family affects social health. Discuss Family.
Homework: Read pages 124-133. Complete worksheet, vocab for lessons 2 and 3, and Chapter 5 Assessment page 138-139 1-15. Study for Chapter 5 Test.

In class: Check homework as a class and hand in. Take Chapter 5 Test on the computer. Start Chapter 15 lesson 1 and 2 definitions. Class discussion on Chapter 15 lesson 1.

Coronavirus has caused us to miss some lessons. I will be posting the notes from Chapter 17 on the blog in the next few days, so please look for that. After I post the notes and you review than you can take the Chapter 17 Test. When we resume class we will be learning about the male and female reproductive systems, STI's, and media influences on our choices. Stay Tuned
